Dann ODonnell

My name is Dann ODonnell. I've been playing the Horn almost my whole life. My parents and 4 siblings all played brass instruments, so the house was a bit noisy at times. I earned a Bachelor Degree in Music Performance from Michigan State University. I've played with professional ensembles on and off over these many years, including some tours to several other countries.

My performance experiences in professional orchestras include Orlando Symphony Orchestra, Mantovani Orchestra, Florida Lakes Symphony Orchestra, Walt Disney World's Candlelight Orchestra, Flagler Symphony, Space Coast Pops, Brevard Symphony Orchestra, Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra, Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Lansing Symphony Orchestra, and Kalamazoo Symphony Orchestra.

I love to play Broadway shows. Most recently I played two tours of Big League Theatrical's "The Who's Tommy" in Japan, Holland, and Belgium. I've also enjoyed performing local productions of: Ragtime, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Peter Pan, Crazy For You, The Mikado, and Camelot.

Some famous people have shared the stage with me too. I've performed with: Frank Sinatra Jr., Maureen McGovern, Toni Tennille, Rosemary Clooney, Roger Williams, Bob McGrath, and Bill Conti.Prior to my residence in Austin starting in 2007, I lived for 15 years in the shadow of the Magic Kingdom in Orlando. I am teaching full time now, and I love Austin.
