What a weekend! Strings Attached performed 6 times and everything went well. The weekend began on Friday night with a Beatles tribute "Abbey Road" at The Nutty Brown Cafe. It was well attended and everyone had a wonderful time.
On Saturday we had a rehearsal dinner out at Thurman's Mansion. Our Rock Cover Band played classic tunes to get the party up and dancin'
We had 3 wedding ceremonies. One of which Will performed solo. He played guitar during the ceremony and then switched to Violin for the cocktail hour. He said he played what we call "Strolling Violin", where he walked around in between tables playing up close to the guests. At one point a kid was up with him dancing to the music. We have pics coming soon. You can hire Will Taylor as a solo act for your event. He used to perform at an Italian restaurant back in the days, and has a real nice energy when the music is all up to him as a solo act. This is also a great idea for a bride on a budget!
We have a new pop string quartet. Listen here. This is such a fun project. We spent the last few weeks recording it live, and making music videos in downtown Austin for this new project. You will love it! You can bet String Attached has all your music ideas, needs and wants covered! If you have an off the wall idea, we are the String Quartet to call. If you want to keep it traditional, you can bet we got that covered too.
Finally, our FOLK band performed at the Four Seasons on Sunday morning for a brunch wedding. We had a Ceremony Duo of Violin and Cello 1st, then we moved to the reception as a Folk Band for 3 hours. Karen Mal sang her heart out(as usual) and played the mandolin. We had hand drums, bass guitar and Will on violin. Always a treat to hear Strings Attached acoustically! Here's the thing...there's NOTHING we don't do. :-)
